HELPING
PEOPLE & ORGANISATIONS
thrive through better conversations,
stronger self-awareness
and more confident leadership.
I work with organisations to develop the people at the heart of them
through coaching, facilitation, workshops and leadership development.
My approach combines practical tools with psychological insight, coaching and embodied awareness to create learning that is engaging, relevant and designed to make a difference beyond the room.
Let’s talk about what you need
the human side of work
Organisations are made up of people.
And people bring all of themselves to work — their strengths and ambitions, but also their worries, habits, assumptions, relationships and ways of responding when things get difficult.
Developing people isn’t simply about giving them more knowledge or another set of tools.
It’s about creating the space to understand themselves better, have better conversations, navigate challenge and change, and develop the confidence to do things differently.
That’s where meaningful development happens.
My work is about helping people understand themselves, connect with others and make positive, sustainable change.
HOW CAN I HELP?
Every organisation has different people, challenges and ambitions. So I don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach.
I offer a range of ways to support individuals, teams and organisations, from focused one-to-one coaching to interactive workshops and longer-term development programmes.
Coaching
A confidential space to think, reflect and develop.
Coaching gives people time away from the demands of their role to step back, gain perspective and explore what’s really going on.
I work with leaders, managers and professionals on areas such as confidence, communication, leadership, career development, boundaries, decision-making and navigating change. The aim isn’t to tell people what to do. It’s to help them develop greater self-awareness, clarity and confidence so they can make their own decisions and take purposeful action.
Facilitation & Workshops
Learning that people experience, not just information they receive.
I design and facilitate engaging, practical sessions around the human challenges of work.
Topics can include:
- Confidence and assertiveness
- Communication and difficult conversations
- Emotional intelligence
- Boundaries and sustainable wellbeing
- Self-awareness
- Leadership
- Resilience and navigating change
- Embodied leadership and presence
Sessions can be delivered as standalone workshops, team development days or as part of a wider programme.
Leadership & Development
Helping people grow into their roles — and into themselves.
For organisations looking for something more sustained, I create bespoke development programmes that combine coaching, facilitation, experiential learning and practical tools.
These might support emerging leaders, develop coaching skills within an organisation, strengthen teams or help people navigate significant change.
We’ll start with what you’re trying to achieve and design the development around your people, rather than fitting you into a pre-existing programme.
MY APPROACH
Practical. Human. Experiential.
I believe the most useful learning is learning that stays with you.
My approach brings together coaching, psychology, embodied awareness and practical experience to help people understand themselves and others more deeply — and turn that understanding into meaningful change.
I’m interested not just in what people know, but in what they notice, feel, experience and do.
That might mean exploring the thinking patterns behind a difficult conversation, noticing what happens in your body when you feel under pressure, or practising a new way of responding rather than simply talking about it.
My sessions are thoughtful and challenging, but also warm, engaging and practical.
I want people to leave with something they can use — a new perspective, a useful insight, a different experience of themselves, or the confidence to try something differently.
Because development isn’t just about knowing more. It’s about becoming more capable of doing things differently.
EXPERIENCE YOU CAN TRUST
I’ve spent more than 25 years designing and delivering learning and development, and have coached hundreds of people across a wide range of roles, organisations and sectors.
My work has included supporting doctors and healthcare professionals, leaders, managers and teams, as well as delivering workshops and development programmes for organisations ranging from large businesses to smaller organisations and professional groups.
I’m an accredited coach and an experienced facilitator, with professional training across coaching, psychology, women’s empowerment, embodiment and adult learning.
Some of the organisations I’ve worked with
Telecomplus · Thomson Reuters · Capstone Foster Care · Wolverhampton University · NHS and healthcare organisations · and others
I bring both professional expertise and real-world experience to my work — but most importantly, I bring curiosity.
Every organisation is different. Every person is different.
So before I design anything, I listen.
Helen recently ran her “Assertiveness without Aggression” workshop for our Women at TR chapter. The session was incredibly well received. Helen taught our members useful and practical methods for handling conflict and communicating better in their working and personal lives.
Her content was fantastically engaging, as was she. I would highly recommend Helen and this particular session to any business looking to help their staff to develop themselves personally and professionally. Thank you, Helen!
You might bring me in when…
You know your people are capable of more, but you’re not quite sure what will help them get there.
Perhaps…
- A team needs to have better conversations — especially when things are difficult or there are differences of opinion.
- People are struggling with confidence — holding themselves back, finding their voice or stepping into greater responsibility.
- Leaders need to develop — becoming more self-aware, confident and effective in their roles.
- Your people are navigating change — and need space to make sense of it and adapt.
- Boundaries and workload are becoming an issue — affecting wellbeing, relationships and performance.
- You want to develop emotional intelligence — helping people understand themselves and others more effectively.
- You’re developing a coaching culture — and want people to have the skills and confidence to support meaningful conversations.
- You want learning that goes beyond a tick-box exercise — something engaging, relevant and genuinely useful.
Whatever you’re trying to achieve, we can start with a conversation about what’s happening for your people and what you’d like to be different.
Let’s talk about what your people need.

She is an engaging and compassionate speaker, who can relate to individuals with an emphasis to help you become the best you can be. I would highly recommend Helen as a guest speaker, she was a true inspiration.
Helen is a very knowledgeable and passionate trainer, mentor and presenter. Her style is energetic, confident and informative, very engaging to listen to! And above all, Helen is a lovely person to work with.
Helen is an engaging speaker who clearly explained her topic area and kept everyone entertained and enthralled throughout the talk.
